A quick search of Google for Barragán’s work is like stepping into another world. The designs of Luis Barragán are nothing less than inspirational and imaginative. Below I have re-blogged an excellent biography of an architectural genius. Please take a few minutes and read this well written bio of a famous Mexican artist that helped shape the way we see architecture.
Luis Barragán (1902-1988) was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. His professional training was in engineering, resulting in a degree at the age of twenty-three. His architectural skills were self-taught.
